one of my favorite things EVER is horror! i've been watching a bunch this week, so here are some of the ones i've watched recently and my thoughts on them!
okay, i'm sure we've been here before but i love ghosts!! ghosts are just lost souls or people who had unfinished business here on earth and are now doomed to stay here forever. worst case scenario with them is that your stuff is gonna start flying around your room. but spirits are a whole other thing. there's three different kinds of spirits to my knowledge. the first is unhappy spirits or lost souls, which is what it sounds like and probably the most common. the second is apparitions, which are shadows or blurry figures resembling humans that appear for a split second or out of the corner of your eye. the last, the most dangerous and severe kind is evil spirits. they can possess vessels, whether it be humans or inanimate objects. all an evil spirit needs to be active is a usable vessel.
on the topic of ghosts, they are not completely distant. while they may be from another dimension, we can still contact them through necromancy. necromancy is the art of commmunicating with spirits and ghosts using a variety of methods. necromancy is a real profession, no matter how freaky and fake it sounds. there are multiple ways to summon a spirit to communicate with, but the way to detect that a spirit is really there is an EMF meter. otherwise you're not talking to anybody. in these situations, its best to use as much protection as you can. sage, a salt circle, a crucifix or rosary, or cross jewelry. an evil spirit will not take over your body if you are wearing anything with a cross, but if it does happen, then a crucifix or rosary will prevent the evil spirit from attacking. the others, sage, salt circle, etc., will generally protect you from a spirit until you know for sure the spirit is not evil.
